We/I will arrive with everything that’s needed for your treatment, no need for you to worry about towels etc.
There will be an initial consultation form to sign and brief discussion on what you expect from your Indian Head Massage treatment. We will complete the necessary client details, which should only take 10 minutes. Your therapist will now make you comfortable on the Indian Head Massage Chair. This chair is designed to enable the therapist to use their body weight to your back and shoulders. It enables you to sit in a very comfortable position, the chair responds to the therapists massage pressure, unlike a couch. A small amount of massage oil (or Aromatherapy oil if you prefer) is used. If you do not require the oil in your hair that’s not a problem, although the oil is very nourishing for your hair. If you can leave the oil overnight it will give the hair a deep conditioning treatment. The treatment starts with a back massage, and then the shoulders. Most people totally relax into the treatment as soon as they have received a few moments of massage.
The treatment length is approx. 45 minutes but please allow 1 hour for the first appointment to allow for your details and consultation to be completed. The treatment finishes with a gentle head, neck and face massage.
There are certain conditions that we are unable to treat and if you are in doubt you should always contact your G.P to ask advice. I can email or post out to you the contraindication and client detail forms, for you to complete prior to my visit if you wish.
